The problem
Homesteading is dozens of interconnected skills — gardening, livestock, food preservation, infrastructure — each with its own timing and dependencies. The knowledge is scattered across videos, forums, books, and neighborly advice, and what little gets written down lives in disconnected notebooks and apps. People end up searching for answers they have already learned, with no single place that understands their particular property, climate, and goals.
What we built
A cross-platform mobile application that gives homesteaders personalized, property-specific guidance — and remembers. It keeps a profile of your land and setup, answers questions conversationally, logs observations over time, recommends seasonal tasks, and identifies plants and pests from a photo.
- Property profile with location, climate, and setup details
- Conversational AI assistance with persistent memory of your place
- Observation logging and progress tracking
- Seasonal task recommendations tuned to your goals
- Photo analysis for plant and pest identification
No existing product addressed the whole homestead as one system, with memory and property-specific personalization. That was the gap worth building for.
The outcome
The result is an application homesteaders own outright — from beginners overwhelmed by the learning curve to experienced growers who just need it organized in one place. Built on a durable, well-documented stack, it is ready to grow with the people using it.
