The problem
The Business Model Canvas is taught everywhere, but the tools around it treat it as a one-time snapshot. Founders fill one in, export a PDF, and later start over on a blank template — with no thread connecting the versions. The most useful thing, understanding how a business model changes over time, was left unaddressed.
What we built
A web application that stores versioned canvases and uses AI to analyze how they evolve. Returning users get pre-filled forms and reminders; each new version is timestamped and compared to the last, generating a plain-language strategic report.
- Block-by-block change detection across versions
- Strategic insights and pattern recognition
- Risk flags for model inconsistencies
- A coherence score that rates how unified the model is
- Reminder cadences for revisiting the canvas
The outcome
A tool that turns a static exercise into a living record — useful to individual founders, to the coaches assigning it, and to the SBDCs and university programs that teach it.
